Vitek Mortgage History -
Founded When Opportunity Met Preparation...

Vitek Mortgage GroupVitek Mortgage Group began with one of those serendipitous moments. You know when you're at the right place at the right time. It wasn't luck, though; it was a moment when opportunity met preparation.

Two friends were in management positions at different mortgage companies housed next door to each other. Late one night, they had a chance meeting in the parking lot, struck up a conversation and discovered they had a lot in common - both were on the ski patrol, both were into flying and both were in the mortgage business.

Craig was in commercial finance and was looking to start his own company. Harry Duncan had been talking about doing the same thing. So Philip, Harry's twin brother got Craig and Harry together. "And the next thing I knew, they had formed a partnership," said Philip. That was in June of 1987.

Vitek Real Estate Industries Group - as the company was then called - combined Harry's apartment finance expertise with Craig's extensive commercial finance experience. In 1990 Vitek was awarded exclusive representation for Southern California Savings and Loan in the Sacramento area for apartment loans.

In 1991, Philip Duncan joined Vitek as a partner, and created the company's residential division - the missing link evolved Vitek into a full-service mortgage company.

Vitek Has Funded Over $1 Billion In Loans!!!

The combination was Vitek's formula for success. The company has since grown to a staff of 41 and has other affiliated net branches. The Vitek team is hardworking, outgoing and fun-loving. These extraordinary people not only know how to work hard for clients, they know how to play hard with clients.

There isn't a member of the Vitek team that hasn't survived the infamous "trail-by-rafting" test. And many a Vitek client has survived the annual whitewater rafting trip or ski-till-you-drop weekend. Rock climbing and parachuting are not out of the question either.

Most of the time though, Vitek is skillfully maneuvering the dynamics of mortgage finance with hundreds of years of combined experience and comprehensive mortgage loan services. Vitek pioneered educational seminars for real estate agents to ensure clients always get the best service, products and value. And Vitek generously gives back to the community that makes its success possible. They regularly contribute to numerous charitable and nonprofit organizations, like the Salvation Army, the Sacramento Ballet, Friends for Kids, ACG Christmas Toy drive, just to name a few.

Since inception Vitek has developed successful relationships with numerous banks, savings and loans, life companies and credit companies. Vitek has also closed over $1,000,000,000 in loan volume. Currently Vitek has 16 single-family agents, with a support staff of 7. The residential specialists originate conventional, FHA, VA and non-conforming loans. Vitek also specialize in subdivision financing, including infrastructure development, construction and model home financing.

Vitek's latest undertaking is warehouse and correspondent lending. Vitek has warehouse lines with Indy Mac and Flagstar Bank, Interfirst and Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, and is seeking approval with several others. Warehouse lending and Correspondent lending will make Vitek an even greater driving force in the mortgage lending industry in the Greater Sacramento area.

So it went from a "chance" meeting in a parking lot to a corporate expansion that includes the best people, service and products in the mortgage industry.
